Welcome to QTS Portfolio.ai. This platform is designed to help trainee teachers in the UK professionally map their classroom practice to the Teachers’ Standards using AI-assisted narratives.

Here is your quick-start guide to getting your portfolio board-ready:

Professional Resources
Check the Prompt Library for specialized AI prompts tailored to different teaching domains (like SEND or Behaviour Management).
Use the Interview Prep module (Phase 3) when you’re ready to convert your portfolio into STAR-formatted responses for job applications.
Mentor Tip: Once an item is committed, a mentor can log in to “Authorise” the evidence, moving it from Pending Review to Approved for your final submission.

Initialize Your Profile
Sign In: Use the “Sign In with Google” button on the entry screen.
Set Your Role: Head to Settings (bottom left). If you are a trainee, ensure your role is set to Trainee Teacher. If you are overseeing others, select Training Mentor to unlock approval permissions.

Document Your First Evidence Item
Go to the Dashboard or Evidence Tracker.
Click Initialize New Entry (the black button).
Step 01 (Context): Enter the lesson title, date, and select the specific Teachers’ Standard you are targeting (e.g., TS2: Promote good progress).
Observation Data: Paste your raw lesson notes or a quick summary of what happened. Be as specific as possible (e.g., “Used mini-whiteboards to check Y7 understanding of prime numbers”).

Generate AI Analysis
Advance to Step 02.
Click Initialize Generation. Our mentor-tuned AI will transform your raw notes into a professional narrative formatted for high-stakes audits.
The AI will also calculate an Integrity Score and map your evidence strength against the sub-criteria of the standard.

Review & Commit
In Step 03, review the generated Narrative and Reflection.
Check the Diagnostic Report for any “Gap Alerts.” If the score is low, the AI will provide specific “Strategic Growth Recommendations” to improve the record.
Click Commit Changes to save it to your archive.

Monitor Your Progress
Return to the Dashboard to see your Confidence Radar. This shows you which standards have strong evidence and where you have gaps.
Your goal is to reach 100% Portfolio Readiness (approximately 24 high-quality evidence items distributed across all 8 standards).
